Check out Two Door Cinema Club performing a recent acoustic session of “Undercover Martyn”, “Cigarettes In The Theatre”, and “What You Know”.
I aimed for creepy rather than like, all industrial or metal, because where’s the fun in that? As much as I enjoy some good metal, the original version of this ended up boring as a result. But with a newer, more functional computer, it was much easier to put something together, and here it is. I also bring it around a little at the end to more fun songs … except that Beach Boys song happens to have been written by Charles Manson.
Sorry there’s no playlist file, but the songs are intended to be played in this order:

Source: oneweekonebandLive, Architecture in Helsinki put a really hypnotizing spin on “Do the Whirlwind” that I thought definitely worth sharing. Bird adds this whole new synth phrase on the beginning, and there’s a moment where you recognize definitively what it is and Franklin starts playing the clicker and everything sort of comes together flawlessly.

Jonathan Pierce and Jacob Graham met at summer camp when they were children and have been best friends ever since. The Drums were formed in late 2006. Relocating to New York, The Drums added former Elkland guitarist Adam Kessler on second guitar and NYC born drummer Connor Hanwick (formerly of lo-fi teen pop duo Cape Of No Hope) to the line up and set up a month long residency at a small club on the lower east side of Manhattan. As of September 2010, guitarist Adam Kessler has left the band.
It seems to me that this band has been through some changes here and there but nonetheless the sound is still authentic as it is. The surf rock’esque poppy feel is uplifting and it just randomly came up on my shuffle as I was doing work at my desk. This is their hit single that really got this album moving and it’s simply a fun song. I can totally see this being played at show and everyone just movin’ their feet clapping their hands to the beat and of course, especially those girls just prancing around like no one’s watching letting their hair loose getting crazy (nothing wrong with that - saw that at American Apparel once and girl was embarrassed since I was watching).
If you’re into this kind of sound - I recommend this album. That’s if you’re looking for something new or that upbeat and fun-moving sound.
